O1: Research study on learning space practices and competence in Latvia, Romania, Portugal, Turkey
Focus of O1:
- diagnosis on learning spaces practices and competence of actual teachers from early childhood and primary school education in 4 countries involved.
- carry out a quantitative (via on-line questionnaire) and qualitative (via interviews) research – involve project target group.
- study on learning spaces practices (indoor and outdoor - how much it is used, what forms, in what subjects) and teachers competence on using learning space as pedagogical tool.
- investigate how learning spaces as pedagogical tool influenced practices and competence of teachers from early childhood and primary school education (involved teachers participants and institutions).
- comparative analyze through involved countries to identify similarities and differences, good practices to share and problematic areas.

O2: Handbook of pedagogical guidelines for educators and primary teachers on Experiential Learning & Applied Didactics on Learning Space, including video tutorials
Focus of O2:
- This guide of pedagogical guidelines for educators and primary teachers on Experiential Learning & Applied Didactics on Learning Space will be especially focused on the technological processes for the development of innovative teaching materials on each human development domain related to five areas of experiential learning: Language and Communication domain; Science field; Human and Society Domain; Aesthetic and Creative Domain and Psychomotricity domain. Each partner will be involved in designing at least one teaching material for each domain and for each educational level (0-6/7 and 6/7-10/11 years old).
Result:
- An international handbook of pedagogical guidelines for educators and primary school teachers on Experiential Learning & Applied Didactics on Learning Space, including video tutorials of practical activities with children.
O3: Training course for educators and primary teachers on Experiential Learning & Applied Didactics on Learning Space
Focus of O3:
- The intensive teaching program for teachers will be focused on four major topics:
- how to analyze the classroom environment;
- how to provide or built the most adequate resources for learning and teaching very young children and young children;
- how to apply learning space as an innovative pedagogical approach; and
- how to design and create a special learning space - indoor and outdoor environment, such as sensorial teaching materials and a didactical sensory garden in each educational institution of the involved countries.
Result:
- Training course for educators and primary school teachers on Experiential Learning & Applied Didactics on Learning Space.
O4: Laboratories of Applied Didactics on Learning Space
Focus of O4:
- The aim of O4 is to bring an innovation to the school education, by promoting the implementation in schools of Laboratories of Applied Didactics on Learning Space for research and applicative solutions in the form of innovation and transfer of know-how center in the field of early childhood and primary school education.
- O4 will elaborate the guidance to implement the Laboratories of learning spaces in schools and will present pilot of the spaces through the project partnership.
Results:
- 6 Laboratories of Applied Didactics on Learning Space for research and applicative solutions in the form of sensorial teaching materials for practical usage with didactic sensory gardens (one per each country involved), including activities with children.
- A mentoring network between universities, schools, kindergarten and other educational organisations to reduce the difficulties faced by teachers in their pedagogical practice and early years of professional career in education.
